Executive Board

Presidents: Ila Shon '19 and Erica Chang '19 liaison with the Music Director, oversee long-term project planning and supervise the other officers during the 2018 term.

General Manager: Emily Spector '21 works with the Assistant General Manager to organize every rehearsal and concert, coordinating with the Music Director, Memorial Hall staff, and members of the HRO.

Vice President: Steven Ekert '20 assists the President in overseeing all the other officers and contributes to the long-term development of the orchestra.

Financial Manager: Spencer Kim '20 manages the orchestra’s finances, preparing budgets and keeping financial records.

President Emeritus: NaYoung Yang '18 served as President in 2017, and now serves as an advisor to the new Board.

Other Officers

Director of Outreach: Brandon Duffy '20 reaches out to and improves relations with subscribers, alumni, and local organizations. He also helps organize activities for the orchestra in the Boston area and solicit advertisements for inclusion in concert programs.

Directors of Publicity: Danielle Davis '21William Hartog '21, and Elizabeth Yeoh-Wang '20 are responsible for off- and on-campus publicity of our concerts. They coordinate poster design and display, tabling, website design, program design, and publicity outreach to the community.

Director of Sales: Kai Trepka '20 coordinates the preparation and distribution of tickets and merchandise. He coordinates with the Box Office to organize the distribution of consignment tickets and subscriptions in addition to handling merchandise sales.

Assistant General Manager: Avril Saavedra '21 works with the General Manager to organize rehearsals and concerts.

Fundraising Team: Ben Rhee '21 and Wesley Shin '21 work to plan and execute fundraising strategies.

Tour Directors: Simon Eder '20, Yooree Ha '20, and Joyce Lu '21 plan and manage HRO's upcoming international tour in the summer of 2019.

Social Team: Mara Roth '19, Eli Holmes '21, and Ethan Cobb '21 organize private social events for the orchestra and bring snacks for each rehearsal.
